At little BALLERS we realize that our developmental program is only as good as the coaches we hire. For this reason, we spend time sifting through loads of applications and ensure that every staff we hire loves coaching and children, is warm and welcoming, and believes in investing their all into each child that attends our classes. We believe in diversity and inclusion which is reflected in our coaching staff and in our participants. Each coach that is hired has varying degrees of experience and have either played the sport themselves, helped to coach others in various sports, held various roles involving educating children, and has the tools necessary to educate your children. Each coach has their First Aid certificates, submitted criminal record checks, child abuse registry documents, has completed or is currently working on completing their Respect In Sport certification, and has undergone our training module to ensure that they are prepared to facilitate classes. We invite you to read each of their bios below and get familiar with who it is that you will be entrusting your children with.

Movement has always played an important role in my life. You can often find me in a yard or a park playing pickup games, or on a court or in a rink playing as part of a competitive team. When I’m not playing on a team of my own, you’ll most likely find me coaching or instructing at various levels in a variety of sports. Through all my movement experiences, I have acquired not only the skills needed for each activity, but more importantly, life skills that are essential to work and be a positive contributing member of society.

Over the last 11 years in the Louis Riel School Division, I have had many different teaching positions. I began as a classroom teacher, then transitioned to a physical education specialist, and I am currently working in a student services position. No matter the role I have done, movement has played an important role in my professional life. Teaching using movement is my passion.

Apart from teaching movement, I seek to continue to stay active myself. Cycling, indoor climbing (bouldering), racquetball and being part of a volleyball team are just some of the ways that I continue to stay active on a regular basis. As one who experienced first hand what an amazing program little BALLERS is by observing my son go through a 10 week session, I’m thrilled to join the little BALLERS team and to use my knowledge to enhance the program and to help bring out the best in each of it’s staff.

As a Professional Physical Education Advisor & Evaluator my responsibilities will be to evaluate, review & advise staff in matters relating to little BALLERS curriculum, to assist in training little BALLERS staff, and to ensure that they meet the high standards that little BALLERS sets.

Currently I am the Regional Manager for GFL Environmental. I am excited to be joining the little BALLERS team!

I will be involved in 2 major roles. My roles will be Regional Director and Lead Coach. As little BALLERS Regional Director my goal is to assist in helping to grow little BALLERS presence in all the towns in Manitoba. As a little Ballers Lead Coach I will help prepare younger generations in how to play basketball and to teach them the fundamental movements associated with the game. As a Lead Coach I share my passion, positive lessons I have learned, and continue to learn from Basketball.

Taking on this role as Lead Coach is pretty exciting to me! I played recreational & competitive basketball growing up and have also coached varsity basketball in Winnipeg and Lorette since 2003. I studied Kinesiology at the University of Manitoba. In my time at the university I was a member of the Bison Track & Field Team. The concept of “ teamwork” is very valuable to me and I am committed to helping my fellow little BALLERS team members strive to maintain and excel as they coach all the little BALLERS participants.

Growing up on a farm in southern Manitoba, I have always been an active person. I grew up playing mostly baseball and golf and have always been a huge sports fan. Now having 4 kids I have had the opportunity to help them in their own activities. I still live on my families farm near Carman and sports continue to be a big part of my life. I have always enjoyed watching basketball and admire the skills and strategies involved. The lessons that are taught through sport is a great way to prepare kids for future success and the little Ballers program is a great way to do that.

I was a four year varsity starter in the Philippines where I was a captain for 3 years, I also played with professional leagues in the Philippines. I played college basketball in NORSU I was a leader of my team and named team captain on the basketball team my senior year.

My coaching experience includes 2 years for a community under 21 basketball team, 4 years as an assistant coach in Neepawa, Manitoba. For the 2019-2020 season I joined the boys Paramus basketball program as an assistant varsity coach. I have trained both boys and girls for my coaching experience and middle school levels. I am comfortable working with any age group. As a little BALLERS coach, I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with young kids.

Bio coming soon…

Dedicated basketball enthusiast who played on a high school team in Brampton, Ontario, earning gold. Now, I continue to indulge in the sport as a hobby, contributing my passion and joining the winning mentality of little BALLERS basketball.

The foundational skills of this beautiful game were etched through the guidance of mentors and at almost 40 years of age, I still feel the love for the game when I pick up a ball. I started playing basketball at a young age in primary school and continued to develop my skills at a fairly high level all the way through high school. I grew up playing on the courts of a community in Victoria, BC, about 10 minutes away from where NBA MVP Steve Nash shaped his very own foundational skills in sport. I even got to attend one of Steve's basketball training camps which he put on after returning to Victoria during off season.

My partner and our child are recent transplants to Winnipeg from the Westcoast, and we love the community feel that Manitoba has offered us since moving here in April 2023. My daughter is now a third generation basketball player( and a little BALLER). Having spent so many years playing competitive basketball growing up, I know the pitfalls and feelings of glory of playing competitive sports. I hope that my years of experience will help guide young vibrant minds through their own exciting journeys as a coach for little BALLERS.

In my non athletic side of life, I more recently ran a personal development company for over a decade that worked with all ages on a global level. I have a Bachelor of Commerce from Royal Roads University, and have studied various levels of psychology at the University of Victoria. More importantly, I am a family man who loves taking in a good sermon, documentary or comedy. I look forward to meeting you and your kids at the next little BALLERS camp.

My name is Christian Dibi Niambe. I am of Ivorian origin, I have loved sport since I was young. I was a professional Fencer. During my time in high school I played basketball and soccer. I like competition. I like challenges. I also really like managing teams!

Athletics have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was fortunate to be a part of various sports teams such as; soccer, volleyball, cross country, track, rugby and basketball. These all provided me opportunities to be physical and social. With my passion of both athletics and people, I had the privilege of transitioning from athlete to coach 9 years ago.

For the past 6 years I have worked as a Crisis Worker in Mental Health Services. Thanks to my background in this field I also incorporate mental aspects with the physical and social aspects of athletics. My focus isn’t to just make athletes a better player in their sport, but also a better person in life. I truly believe that the values we practice on the court transfer outside of it.

I am ecstatic to be joining Little BALLERS as both a coordinator for Brandon and a Lead Coach. I also join the Little BALLERS community as a proud parent to my son. I look forward to working with each individual in our safe, inclusive and fun space! See you there!

Basketball has always been a massive part of my life, from as young as I can remember. My mom, Martha played university basketball and was officiating basketball for as long as I can remember. I myself, started on my first basketball team at the age

Basketball has always been a massive part of my life, from as young as I can remember. My mom, Martha played university basketball and was officiating basketball for as long as I can remember. I myself, started on my first basketball team at the age of 5. It was a coed, competitive team and I was the only girl on the team. That experience taught me from a young age that I could practice as hard as I chose to, and learn from those around me as much as I chose to, to be as good as I could possibly be. However, there were going to be some things that challenged me on the way and I needed to push myself through those things to get better.

I continued playing "up" and in my grade 5 year I was asked to play on our grade 7 junior high team. So, I was lucky to be able to complete 5 years of junior high basketball. In 7th grade I tried out for the Manitoba Provincial Team for the first time and was selected as a member of the U15 Midget Women's team, at the age of 12. I played with the provincial team up until my grade 11 year and was able to participate in Western Canada Games while a part of this program. I was also a member of Basketball Canada's Centre for Performance for 2 years during my time on the provincial team.

In my 12th grade year, I played with the Winnipeg Internationals club team, and played for one of my biggest mentors I have ever had in playing and coaching, Joe Dicurzio. With the Internationals we would regularly travel down and compete in the states against some of the very talented teams down there. This team really helped to shape my confidence as a player, as I had been struggling with injuries and mental aspects of the game prior to joining and I credit this experience with giving me the confidence to try out for the university team.

My final years of basketball were spent with the Brandon Bobcats in 2010-2012 seasons. It was always my goal to compete at the university level, so this was a very big accomplishment in my basketball career. I was selected as rookie of the year in my first season with the team, although it was a rough year of basketball for myself and the team. The following year was also a tough year, paired with the teachers strike. I made the difficult decision to take a step back from playing and take a couple years off to figure out what I wanted to do.

In these years off, I became a mother to a beautiful daughter, Marley and amazing son Rory who will both be joining us in the program! I am so excited to be able to assist in bringing development to Brandon and hope to bring joy to the kids through basketball the way that it brought me so much joy throughout my whole life.

Basketball has been apart of my life since the very beginning. both my parents played Brandon University basketball, and have had long careers of coaching myself, my sister, and countless others. My parents both had careers as physical education teachers for 30+ years, so playing every sport possible was just in the nature nature of my sister and I. My sister Tia played basketball at the University of Winnipeg before ultimately moving to the States for school to further her studies in speech pathology.

I consider myself to be a black sheep of my very basketball forward family, going to Assiniboine Community College for my culinary arts degree, my college athlete career took me on the volleyball route instead of basketball.

I strongly feel that growing up playing multiple sports, making friendships and learning how to be a part of a team is so important for kids and young adults. I grew up playing soccer, track, swimming, rugby, volleyball, badminton, basketball, and hockey. Every sport taught me something different, and made me who I am today.

I am so blessed to be coaching for little BALLERS, as my career in hospitality has limited my ability to give back in the sports community, as my evenings off are limited. This program is a great start, and I look forward to coaching all the little ones who join the program. See you on the court!!

I was always active and played many sports growing up. I was recruited to post secondary for both basketball and volleyball but ultimately chose volleyball. I played at the University of Regina before moving to Winnipeg to train full time with the national team. After playing professionally in Sweden I settled down in Brandon, Manitoba where I’ve started my own family of “little ballers” and continue to work in college sport.

I am a grade 11 student and have been playing basketball for 4 years. Being a part of the sport has helped me to stay active and to make friends. I have grown up surrounded by babies and kids, who I enjoy being around. Working with little BALLERS gives me the opportunity to be coaching the sport I love to kids I share a passion with.

I’m in grade twelve. I play basketball for crocus plains varsity team but also been playing for 6 years! I’m very outgoing and active and I love to communicate, I’m very passionate about working with little ones and helping them learn new things, I really enjoy the game basketball, helped me make new friends and learn different skills! I’m very excited to be part of little BALLERS and to help develop future stars!

My name is Jordan I am a grade 12 student although I don’t play a lot of basketball I do love to learn and love being around children, little BALLERS will give me the opportunity to learn how to coach BETTER and will allow me to be surrounded by amazing coaches.

I am a passionate basketball enthusiast who has left an indelible mark on the sport. With a successful high school resume, where I secured the title of two-time MVP and earned the prestigious honor of three-time Toronto All-Star, my talent on the court was undeniable.

However, my impact goes far beyond the scoresheet. From 2007 to 2010, I dedicated myself to nurturing the next generation of basketball stars by serving as a leader in a youth camp. Here, I coached, organized, and instilled values of both youth development and team bonding, proving myself not only as a skilled player but as a mentor and leader.

My journey continued into higher education, as I played basketball at a high level in both the USA and Canada, all thanks to a coveted basketball scholarship. Now, my focus has shifted towards inspiring and guiding future generations. My dream is to pass on the knowledge I have gained through the years, so that young ballers can reach their full potential.

I am currently a student studying kinesiology at the University of Manitoba. This field of study became an easy choice as I am highly interested in sports and the importance of living an active lifestyle. I enjoy playing the game of basketball and I grew up playing since I was 4 years old. Growing up in the Philippines, where basketball was played almost everywhere, I was introduced to the game early and it has since been a source of enjoyment. Importantly, it has also extended to teach me lessons outside of the game itself. These lessons taught me how to navigate through life by instilling the value of practice to improve my skills, the importance of building self-confidence, and how to work collaboratively with my team. Thus, I’m highly excited to work with little BALLERS to introduce the game of basketball to young children to play a game they love around a group of supportive coaches!

I studied criminal justice in university and currently work with women in the criminal justice system. I played sports all throughout my life, starting basketball at 10 years old and it quickly became my favourite sport and passion. I played a brief stint at a small college in Saskatchewan and continue to play on a recreation league team today. I enjoy working with children and feel fulfilled by pouring into their lives. Seeing children develop skills at a young age gives me hope for the future of Winnipeg basketball stars and I am so excited to have the opportunity to see children grow, learn and have an incredible time on the court!

I spent most of my life playing sports since elementary school. Being active was the best way to release my stress and make friends. In high school and beyond I played basketball, volleyball, badminton, cross country, soccer, and rugby. I played rugby for the Winnipeg Wasps rugby club, football for the mustangs, and intramural soccer.

I have a bachelor of physical education degree from the University of Manitoba, and I am currently attending the education program at the University of Manitoba. I have various coaching experiences in rugby, soccer, volleyball, and Special Olympics track and field.

I was also recently discharged from the Republic of South Korea Marine Corps (ROKMC). I do enjoy and love spending time with children, and always will be working hard to become the best physical educator I can be! To anyone joining little BALLERS who speaks Korean, I speak it fluently. Let’s go little BALLERS!!!!!

I started my basketball journey by playing in the WMBA community basketball program at the age of 6 years old. My love and passion for the game led me to club league basketball. l am currently a starting guard for the Attack Academy basketball program and have been for the past four years. In addition, I also play on the St. Paul’s High School Crusaders varsity basketball team. I am now in my last year of high school and plan on continuing my post-secondary education at the University of Manitoba in the Faculty of Sciences.

I enjoy working with children and volunteered at a daycare and school summer program. I was also an assistant coach for the Holy Ghost School boys' basketball team. I have developed a keen understanding of the needs and abilities of young basketball players. I am excited to create an engaging, supportive, and positive environment for your little BALLERS to learn about basketball and have fun!

I am currently a Student-Athlete at the University of Winnipeg. I am studying in the field of Physical Education as I have always had a passion for sports, but primarily basketball. When it comes to the sport of basketball, I have been playing in an organized league since I was 5 years old. Fast forward to 18 years later, I am now the starting point guard for the University of Winnipeg Wesmen and a player for Winnipeg’s new professional basketball team called the Sea Bears. After being involved in the game of basketball for as long as I can remember, I am excited to start this new journey with little BALLERS program! I have helped out in many camps before as I enjoy giving back to the community as well as working with kids, so I am thrilled to be a part of the coaching staff!

I played fastball, basketball and badminton in elementary school and in junior high. While in high school I focused on playing fastball at the highest level in Manitoba. I continue to play sports in adult leagues.

I have a bachelors degree in Human Ecology Family Social Sciences from the University of Manitoba and a diploma in child and youth care from Red River Polytechnic. I was a coordinator for emergency placements for kids in care and a coordinator for an after school program for grade 2-5 where we did crafts, games and prepared snacks. Now I have 3 young boys of my own and enjoy being a stay at home mom. I look forward to investing into the lives of all the little kids that are involved in little BALLERS programs and look forward to planing the various athletic camps that I will be coordinating with Michelle.

I am really excited to join the little BALLERS coaching team! I have many years of experience working with children and youth. I earned my diploma in Child and Youth Care from Red River College Polytechnic in 2014.

I have worked in daycares, at various group homes with youth in care, and worked as a youth care worker in two schools. I have volunteered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg and helped with various children's activities with my church.

I have a passion for children and youth and am super pumped to bring my passion and enthusiasm to the court!

My basketball journey started at the beginning of grade 7 where I learnt the basic skills of handling a ball and since then I fell in love with the sport. I currently play on the junior varsity team at Dakota Collegiate and the Junior Alliance club team as well. Towards the beginning, I had many troubles when it came to learning and developing the skills. But with the great coaches and a lot of motivating people around me, I was able to overcome those obstacles. And I hope to pass that motivation on to the young people of little ballers so they can pursue a sport they love too!

My parents tell me that sports have been a part of my life from the time I was 3 years old!! In my life, I have participated in badminton, volleyball, soccer, hockey, football, track and field, and tennis. Of all the sports I played, basketball was the one that I chose to play into my university years. Being a part of sports teams has taught me a myriad of lessons. The importance of physical activity, the importance of taking instruction from coaches, the importance of playing on a team, the importance of striving for goals, the benefits of practice, and learning how to build confidence to mention a few. Not only do I hope to provide children with the foundational skills and movements associated with basketball but more importantly to help them to grow in their understanding of how to build self confidence, appreciate teammates, and sports in general.

Thankfully I’ve gotten past the part of my life where I was scared to have balls thrown to me! I have always had a deep interest in sports but as a very small framed teen I wasn’t strong enough to make the tryouts for the sports teams at school. I never let that get me down! I enjoyed playing pick up ball with friends and my favourite game was “HORSE” in my best friends driveway in the heat of summer. I also didn’t lose out on team activities because I was part of band and a choir. These activities taught me a lot about responsibility and the dedication to learn something collectively with peers. The most rewarding experiences were marking band competitions and playing at my high school football games! I’m from Michigan and marching band is a really special thing to be a part of there at the time my marching band was the 2nd largest in the nation!

I have always had a desire to impact the lives of little children. This stems back to my days of babysitting multiple families. I have also enjoyed many years of mentoring youth in their spiritual lives and social encounters. Now being a mother of two kids has been the greatest reward of seeing them grow and develop.

Some of you may have seen me on the sidelines at little BALLERS cheering on one child and entertaining the other! It has been so much fun to watch little BALLERS come to fruition. I’m excited to leave the sidelines and to get more involved in coaching all our little BALLERS. I look forward to watching them develop both in their skills and socially.

I’m in my second year of university at Les Rouges de St. Boniface studying business. I play on the basketball team and I’m a point guard. I am very passionate about basketball. I have some experience in coaching kids younger than I. I’m really excited to meet new kids, build new relationships and help them grow and develop their basketball and social skills! For anyone joining little BALLERS who speaks French I speak it fluently.

I have a deep passion for all things sports. With experience in coaching soccer and now basketball, my dedication to nurturing young athletes is palpable. As an avid badminton and squash player, I embody the competitive spirit and skill development that come with the thrill of the game.

When not coaching or hitting the courts, I value the time spent with my wife, Andrea, and our three children (one of which is in the Baby BALLERS classes)! I lead a balanced life, weaving together professional achievement and personal joy, which is reflected in my holistic approach to coaching and community engagement.

In Winnipeg, I also excel as a top-level, high-performing realtor. My daily efforts play a significant role in assisting families to discover their perfect homes and actively contribute to the city’s dynamic growth.

I first discovered my love of basketball when I was nine years old, playing in the Stars basketball program. As I got older, I played competitively for junior Wesmen and the Provincial U15 team. I now hold a leadership position at work and am the proud dad of two awesome kids. Watching my children develop their own love for playing team sports has sparked my interest in coaching and I look forward to passing on my knowledge and appreciation of the game to the next generation of Little BALLERS.

My name is Ramandeep Kaur, and I am delighted to embark on this exciting new chapter as one of the coaches for Little BALLERS. With a passion for basketball that ignited at the age of 8, I have dedicated myself to honing my skills and knowledge in the sport. As the player of basketball since high school, I have gained valuable experience and expertise.

In addition to my basketball background, I am currently pursuing a degree in early childhood education from Mitt College. This educational endeavor allows me to combine my love for basketball with my passion for working with children. I find immense joy and fulfillment in interacting with young athletes, and I am committed to creating a positive and nurturing environment where they can thrive both on and off the court.

With my dedication, enthusiasm, and ongoing education in early childhood development, I am well-equipped to contribute to the success of Little BALLERS. My goal is to provide a rewarding and enriching experience for all the young ballers, helping them cultivate their passion for basketball while fostering their overall growth and development.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this journey with Little BALLERS and am excited about the positive experiences that lie ahead.

I started playing basketball for my middle school team and in the WMBA community league. Soon after gaining a passion for the sport I knew I was up for more of a challenge. Last year, I joined a club team, Summit, and started training for TAP Manitoba. This year, I am still committed to both teams and prepared to put in the work to get better. I’m excited to work with Little Ballers to help young kids who want to learn and improve in the sport just as I do.

I am a 2nd year student in Athletic Therapy at the University of Manitoba. Meaning, when your favourite basketball player gets hurt, I am the guy who runs on the court to see what needs to be fixed! I have played basketball for the past decade competitively and recreationally so I have picked up on some tips and tricks that I can’t wait to show you all! Over the past year I have been coaching and training young beginners to advanced competitors across all age groups in basketball, and excited to further my experience! I have spent the better half of my life around the world of basketball and can’t wait to share some of my knowledge and skills to all the eager learners ready to enter into this wonderful sport! See you on the court!

I’ve been playing basketball for 6 years on club and school teams.  The biggest part of basketball for me is being able to connect with others through a love of activity and learning.

Working with little BALLERS means I get to continue my passion for basketball not just for me, but for children who get to build a love of fun, sport, and community.

See you on the court!

Basketball Basketball has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My basketball journey began as a four-year-old shooting hoops in my backyard and as I developed, I had the opportunity to played organized basketball with the WMBA, the Rising Stars league, my high school team and a college team at Canadian Mennonite University. More recently, my basketball career has shifted to a coaching role where I have experienced coaching club basketball, a middle school team, high school inclusive education basketball, and varsity high school basketball. Coaching basketball has become one of my greatest passions in life and my favourite way to spend my time.

As an Educational Assistant in the Louis Riel School Division, I spend every day helping students reach their unique goals and achieve their potential. It is my privilege to get to know students in the classroom and watch them grow. I am so excited to transfer these skills from the classroom to the gym as a member of the Little Ballers staff!

I first heard of the Little Ballers at their halftime demonstration during a Winnipeg Sea Bears game in summer of 2023. Considering my background with Coaching Basketball and my current position in the field of Education, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the program as soon as I saw the Little Ballers in action. I am beyond excited to be a part of the Little BALLERS team!  I hope to see you on the court :)

Passionate about basketball since my middle school days, I've turned my love for the game into a fulfilling career. Currently pursuing a degree in Physical Education at the University of Manitoba, I am dedicated to nurturing young talents at Little BALLERS. Committed to fostering a love for the sport and honing essential skills in our future stars. Let's shoot for success together! 🌟

Enthusiastic lead coach at little BALLERS, where my mission is to instill a passion for both essential motor skills and the game of basketball in our budding athletes. With a dynamic and engaging coaching style, I create an environment that not only hones basketball skills but also fosters personal growth and teamwork.

Bringing a wealth of experience and genuine love for the game, I am dedicated to making every session at little BALLERS a memorable and enjoyable experience for the kids. Through a blend of structured drills and playful activities, I aim to develop not only their basketball prowess but also essential life skills.

I am currently in my last year of high school and planning on attending university in the fall! I come from a very sports oriented family, and my chosen sports have been basketball and soccer. I was first introduced to basketball through my older sisters and played it for the first time myself in elementary school, which is where I found a love for the sport. I have played basketball for my school team throughout my years of high school and have grown so much from it both as a player and an individual. I also had the opportunity to help out with coaching the younger team at my high school, allowing me the opportunity to further my understanding and ability to help others learn more about the sport. The other sport that has played a huge role in my life is soccer, I am a former youth Premier division soccer player and plan on continuing to play soccer in upcoming years.

I am very excited to work with Little Ballers and help kids grow their skills and foster a passion for the sport in an encouraging, positive, and most importantly, fun environment!!!

Sports have always played a huge part in my life, especially dance and basketball. I started playing basketball in middle school and have continued playing for my school team throughout high school. My favourite part about basketball and dance is the growing you do, not only as an athlete, but as a person and the friendships you make. I’m in my last year of high school and plan on pursuing dance after I graduate.

I’m very excited to work with Little Ballers and to help create a positive, fun and safe space for kids to be active!

I am a bilingual high school student, I have been playing volleyball since I was 12 years old and many of the aspects of the sport carry over to basketball! I care a lot about teamwork, sportsmanship and positivity, and am excited to create a safe and loving environment here at little BALLERS. My goal is to help children feel comfortable in a sports environment and grow as individuals.

Basketball has always been a passion of mine and I am so happy to be coaching for Little BALLERS. I am an aspiring kindergarten teacher, and I am currently attending the University of Winnipeg. I hope to receive a double major in English and Education, and a minor in conflict resolution by 2025.

Sports has been a passion of mine since I could walk, especially basketball! I am happy and excited to be an assistant coach for the Little BALLERS program and to teach kids the fundamentals of basketball at a young age so they can be stars. I wish a program like this existed when I was younger, and I am so thrilled to see children learn and grow in their element as well as have fun.

From playing with my friends in the backyard of my home, to Indian Nationals at U-14, Basketball has been a constant sport in my life along with cricket and badminton. I myself,  was once a small child, unaware of the world of sports and all that it can offer me. It is because of my mentors and coaches that today I stand proudly as a 5 times state and 1 time national(SGFI) player of Basketball.

Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science at the University Of Manitoba. Currently I take participate in intramurals at the University of Manitoba.

I believe that Teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication are essential skills of the game of life and not just sports. I try my best to help everyone in getting to know the true essence of being a sportsperson.

My goal is to make sure that I leave a positive impact on children and create a fun growing and thriving environment for them to learn about sports and all alike.

For anyone joining little BALLERS who speaks Punjabi I speak the language fluently.

See you on the court BALLERS!

I recently graduated from Canadian Mennonite University with a bachelor degree in Business and communication.

I hope I can bring my positivity to help create a great environment for kids to grow in this program.

I am currently working towards my bachelor of education at the University of Winnipeg. I have been extremely passionate about basketball ever since I was first introduced to the game. I only discovered my love for basketball in middle school, so I’m ecstatic to help the little BALLERS grow their love for the game at an early age.

I have been a head coach through the WMBA since I was 16 years old. I am very passionate about coaching and look forward to sharing my knowledge and building relationships through little BALLERS.

I can’t wait to get to know all of the little BALLERS, help develop their skills, and have fun! I am very grateful to be a part of the little BALLERS coaching staff!

I am too short to play basketball, so soccer became my sport when I was growing up. I have always enjoyed working with children either with my church education program or coaching my children in youth soccer. In the past, I have coached two of my three children when they were in youth soccer. In my prime playing years played with United Weston, one of the oldest clubs in Winnipeg. I still play coed soccer with two of my children. I have been a regional referee with Manitoba Soccer Association for over twenty years now. I have reffed games at the MCAC level, all different levels for men's and women's games, officiated at the youth provincial finals as recent as this past season. For anyone joining little BALLERS who speaks Cantonese, I speak it fluently. I look forward to working with all the little BALLERS that are enrolled in our program!! See you soon!!

I am currently in my last year of high school! I plan on attending the University of Manitoba with the goal of becoming a physiotherapist. I grew up playing competitive sports and have always had a passion for staying active. Being in team sports, I realized the positive impact that supportive teammates and coaches can have in our lives. I love working with kids and I’m excited to show the little BALLERS that being active is fun!

I’m currently studying psychology at the University of Manitoba with hopes of one day becoming a school psychologist. I’ve always loved working with kids and sports, and this job combines both! Growing up I played a wide variety of sports which helped me to make friends, learn how to work as a team, and learn how to work towards and achieve my goals. I’m very excited to meet all the kids and watch them grow and to help them develop their skills!

Currently I am attending my final year of high school and plan to go to the U of M next year for a bachelor of science to hopefully then go into veterinary school. As a kid I played many sports, between school sports and extracurriculars, I got to learn how to be a teammate, how to have good sportsmanship and how to get along with others. I have always enjoyed working with kids of all ages. Growing up I helped with a home daycare, worked at summer camps as well as babysitting. I hope to be a positive addition to the team and I am very excited to be apart of the little BALLERS coaching staff.

I started my basketball journey at the age of 11 playing for my middle school team and playing in the WMBA community league. My love and passion for the game led me to playing higher levels as the years went along. I ended up playing club basketball, playing on the provincial team in 2019/2022,playing AAU basketball in the states and also playing on the St. Paul's junior varsity and varsity basketball team. I am in my last year of highschool and currently a starting guard on the St Paul's varsity basketball team. I plan on playing University basketball next year and majoring in kinesiology in hopes of becoming a trainer on a professional basketball team. I am very excited to work with Little Ballers and be a part of the lives of the next generation of basketball players.

I was born and bred in Regina, SK, in the Whitmore Park neighbourhood. I attended the University of Regina, where I received my bachelor of Education as well as played for the Cougar Men’s Basketball Team.

After playing five seasons with the U of R cougars from 2005 to 2010 l embarked on a nine-year professional career that saw me play with five different teams in the British Basketball League. I helped the Liverpool Mersey Tigers win both the BBL Trophy and the BBL playoff championship in my first professional season back in 2011, and also won the BBL Trophy and the BBL playoff title in 2014 with the Worcester Wolves. I was named the 2014 BBL Trophy MVP, scoring 26 points in Worcester's win in the finals over the Glasgow Rocks.

I have been the assistant coach since 2019 for the the Cougars. My coaching experience includes running JAK Basketball, a skill development program based in Regina since 2013. I look forward to helping coach all the little BALLERS that are involved in the program and helping to train other little BALLERS coaches.

I am a Mom, partner, and Teacher. I taught middle years and high school but am currently teaching Preschool in Regina, SK. I have played basketball all throughout elementary and high school. I then continued to play recreational basketball in my adults years, which was a nice compliment to coaching basketball for several years. I have a love for the game but more importantly a passion for helping children grow and learn new skills.

My journey through the game of basketball happened by accident or for a reason depending how you look at it. When I was in grade 5 I heard that grade 6's and up could join the school team. Feeling that there was injustice being done I petitioned the principal and coach to let me play in grade 5 ( I had never played before). The coach allowed me to join but said the stipulation was that she had to play the players grade 6 and up but she did say "Get good enough so I have to play you".

That challenge stayed with me my whole playing career through provincial teams, All star teams and Nike All Canada Camp. From there I played 5 years at Laurentian University as a Lady Vee and then in Keltern, Germany where I played in the second Bundesliga for grüner stern keltern.

Along the way I have gained wonderful opportunities to work with players at all levels having coached children at summer camps, community basketball teams,  junior girls high school  and U15 Girls at the North American Indigenous Games.

As a social worker and advocate in the community sport has become so much more than just a game. It is filled with opportunities, builds a sense of belonging and teaches many transferable skills to all parts of life. I am also a mother to two little boys. One of which will be joining the program. I am excited to work with the next generation of Little Ballers and have a ton of fun while doing it!

I am a small business owner and landscape construction enthusiast. I thrive spending time outdoors both for my work, and for leisure.

Coaching and working with youth has been a passion of mine since I was in high school. I have coached in multiple sports and age groups for over ten years and I am excited to have the opportunity to continue.

Basketball has been a big part of my life from childhood onward and I cannot wait to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with everyone at Little BALLERS.

I am currently a high school student at Campbell Collegiate. I have been playing basketball since I was in grade 6 whether it is playing in the drive way with friends or playing in a league or for a school team. I also have played many other sports growing up such as soccer and football which I played for my high school team. I enjoy working with kids and being able to coach the next generation of basketball players.

My name is Tyson, and I am a University of Regina student studying Kinesiology who has lived in Regina my entire life. I come from an extremely sports oriented background, with my dad having played in the Canadian Football League for 13 years, as well as having worked in the league ever since his retirement from playing, meaning that I genuinely have been around sports for longer than I can remember. I grew up playing a variety of different sports such as football, basketball, and baseball, and have always maintained a great passion and interest in sports as a whole.

After playing three years of both football and basketball for my high school, I signed with the Regina Thunder Football Club of the Canadian Junior Football League, where I have played two seasons and am currently heading into my third. We have been very successful in my time with the team, going on to compete for the National Championship in my first season as well as falling just short of a Conference Championship title in my second. My passion for football, as well as sports as a whole has only grown since initially signing with the team.

I have worked in numerous volunteer and paid coaching positions in the past, and have a passion for sharing my knowledge and love for sport with others. I have coached in both football and basketball in the past, and my passion for both sports burns strongly as they have both had such a strong impact on my life. I am looking forward to sharing my passion for the game with every Little Ballers who chooses to come through this program!!

Hello parents, my name is Iman. For as long as I can remember athletics have been a part of my life. Currently I’m a high school student who loves playing volleyball and basketball at any given chance I have. Being a part of the sport has helped me to stay active and to make friends. I have grown up surrounded by babies and kids, who I enjoy being around. I’m pleased to be working with all the Little Ballers that are part of our program.

I'm a Geological Engineering student at the University of Saskatchewan with a strong passion for basketball. My sports journey began at the age of 4, involving hockey, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and track throughout grade school. Basketball became a significant part of my life, leading me to travel two hours in high school to play on a club team year-round. In addition to playing, I've also gained coaching experience at my high school. I enjoy coaching basketball to kids, aiming to inspire them to pursue the sport I love and share my passion with them.

I am currently in my second year of engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. I have always loved working with kids and bringing new opportunities for them in my community. I played many sports in high school, I have always enjoyed being active. Sports help with team work skills and as well as leadership skills. I am super thrilled to start teaching the Little Ballers !!

Hi! I’m Kennedy. I’m a second year student at the University of Saskatchewan studying biomedical sciences. Sports have always been a huge part of my life, and I love that I have the opportunity to introduce kids to what could be their forever sport.

Athletics have always been so important to me, as a way to let go of stress, to learn how to be a team player and a leader, and to build friendships. These are all lessons I hope to pass on through coaching. One of my goals in this position is to build confidence, on and off the court.

I have coached hockey in the past, and one of the most rewarding things for me was seeing how confidence in skills transfers to everyday confidence in the kids. I am looking forward to learning alongside the rest of the coaches to help the kids grow and develop their skills. I can’t wait to get to know our ballers, and I know we will have so much fun! See you on the court Little Ballers!

My name is Amy Keizer, and I am so excited to be a lead coach for Little Ballers this season! I am currently a nursing student at the University of Saskatchewan, and have lived in Saskatoon for about 3 years now! I am originally from Cold Lake, Alberta where I went to highschool and played basketball for 2 years up until Covid. I have also worked in a daycare for the last two summers and I am level 1 certified as an Early Childhood Educator. I love working with children and am passionate for building healthy habits to facilitate your child’s growth! I am hoping to be a pediatric nurse once I graduate nursing school, and promote healthy and fun childhood experiences throughout my career. I can’t wait to get to know you and your children!

From a childhood filled with diverse sports experiences to a decade-long journey as a sportsperson, I have always been deeply connected to the world of athletics. My early participation in sports like soccer, volleyball, tennis, and basketball not only honed my physical skills but also instilled a sense of camaraderie and teamwork that would shape my future. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, I bring a unique blend of strategic insight, leadership, and mentorship to our team with a passion for developing young athletes both on and off the court. I look forward to coaching all the Little Ballers that are a part of our program.

I've been playing basketball for as long as I can remember, from getting dunked on by my dad at 3 years old to playing on elementary school teams and participating in the Steve Nash Basketball Program. It's been my favourite sport ever since then, and I continued to play throughout middle and high school at Weyburn Comprehensive School in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Although my basketball-playing journey ended this year, I hope that introducing Little BALLERS to my town will give me the opportunity to inspire passion in the kids in my community and be a role model that they can look up to!

My name is skyler kreger, and I am very excited to be one of the little BALLERS coaches in Weyburn. I have been involved in several levels of basketball including when I started off in elementary school, up to middle and high school. then having the opportunity to play U Sport for the Lakehead Thunderwolves in Ontario.

As a child i was very involved with athletics. I was a speed swimmer for 8 years, a dancer for 6 and also did soccer, track, and other various middle/high school sports during my time in school. It was basketball that really took a hold on me and for the past 11 years I have pushed myself to be the best athlete, mentor, and teammate I can be.

As a coach, I have volunteered my time since middle school helping coach various levels of athletes. This includes littles (steve nash and work study camps in university), high school (co-coaching the senior girls high school team), and special olympics participants.

During my grade 10 and 12 year I was presented with the mvp basketball award and after graduation was presented with a scholarship to pursue basketball post-grad. I am currently in college taking my nursing degree. on the side you’ll most likely see me working as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the pool, and as a server at the local sports bar.

The reason that this program interested me was because our town lacks in the educational youth basketball department. I wish as a kid I had the opportunity and coaches this program has to offer to teach me the basic fundamentals.

As a little BALLERS coach, i hope to inspire kids to want to pursue basketball. Most importantly I want to help them to become better basketball players, to enjoy themselves, enjoy the sport, and have fun!

My name is Karly (Johnson) Foth. I have been involved with sports, education, and coaching my entire life. As a daughter of 2 teachers who were highly involved in sports and coaching themselves, I was immersed early in the athletic world.

I attended high school in Weyburn and played volleyball, softball and basketball since I started organized sports in grade 4 at Haig School. One of my greatest athletic accomplishments was winning provincials in volleyball, basketball and softball in my grade 12 year.

My coaching career started in grade 9 after playing 5 years of competitive waterpolo in Weyburn. I knew early on that I needed to stay involved with sports and that I enjoyed sharing my knowledge and passion.

While attending the University of Saskatchewan I continued to coach. I coached a grade 6-8 volleyball team for 2 years and was an assistant coach for a senior girls basketball team that advanced to provincials both years.  I finished my degrees (Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Kinesiology) at the U of S in 2011 and started teaching and coaching full time in and around Saskatoon.

In 2013 I was offered a teaching job in Weyburn. I have had the pleasure and privilege of coaching the senior girls basketball team since then as well. My favourite part of coaching is watching players improve and seeing their pride and confidence grow. Now that I have 2 young boys of my own (ages 4 and 1) I look forward to coaching them in the future and sharing my passion for sports.
